Roadmap

Realism Mode

Planned

The Airline Simulator aims to be a casual airline management simulation where players don't have to stress about financial optimization. However, there are many flight and aircraft mechanisms in real-world aviation worth implementing for more realistic gameplay.

Realism Mode will be a separate game mode with its own progression and resources, offering a fresh start with more realistic mechanics.

Key features:

  • Aircraft range based on seating configuration
  • Aircraft orders and scheduled deliveries
  • Flight circuits (e.g., HND-ORD-NRT-SIN-HND)
  • Block times for flights

Cargo Mode

Planned

A separate game mode for dedicated cargo airline operations, built on top of Realism Mode mechanics.

Key features:

  • Independent airport limitations for cargo
  • Cargo "classes" similar to passenger operations
  • Flight circuits and payload-based range
  • Configurable cargo loads per flight

Cross-Mode Progression

Planned

Extra subsidiary slots for new modes, with gradual resource transfers (weekly limits) letting you leverage existing progress while experiencing fresh challenges.
