Why isn't there competition between players?

The fundamental concept behind this game is that I want players to be able to create the fleet of their favorite aircraft and network of their favorite routes. Competition would discourage people from playing the game with this kind of chill vibe. Also, in the current game system, new airlines would never be able to compete with more established airlines.

How about maintenance, aircraft failures or weather delays?

I think that unexpected and uncontrollable losses in cash or assets don't create an enjoyable experience for players. While aircraft failures could potentially be managed through increased maintenance spending, I feel this might make the game less fun. As players develop larger fleets, having to manage maintenance or maintain spare aircraft to cover potential failures would likely become more of a tedious task than an engaging gameplay element.

Will you add charter flight operations?

No. I believe that irregular charter flights would add scheduling complexity without meaningful strategic value to the core gameplay.

Will you add In-Flight Amenities, Catering or Checked Bags options?

More detailed options about how flights can be operated will be implemented at some point, but not in near future updates. I currently think that this will overcomplicate the system and the UI without bringing much value right now.

Can existing flights be extended into stopover flights?

There won't be a feature that can convert existing flights into stopover flights, because:

It was planned during development, but it would make the game system too complex
Most players fill their aircraft schedules with flights, and in most cases, aircraft don't have the extra time after a specific flight to operate a stopover flight to another destination.

Will there be an alliance chat / in-game chat?

In-game chat is expensive to implement and requires constant moderation to maintain a safe environment. These resources are better invested in core simulation features like more aircraft / improved route planning.

How is time measured in the game?

One (1) day in real time equates to one (1) week in game time.

My Operating Costs are Too Low / Too High

Operating costs are intentionally normalized so that early-stage players can earn enough cash to grow their airline, and gradually increase as your airline grows to keep the gameplay balanced.

The Airline Simulator pursues casual airline management rather than spreadsheet optimization. This is one of our core principles, and while future game modes like Realism Mode and Cargo Mode will introduce more realistic features, financial optimization will not be a core part of the gameplay.

When will my feature be added?

We're unable to provide estimates on when, or whether, a particular feature will be added. Feature decisions are based on multiple factors including the game's design direction, technical feasibility, real player data, and current development priorities. The final decision always rests with the development team.
